Barry Wallach is a Vice President in the Real Estate Division in Northern Trust's Phoenix office. In this capacity, he is responsible for the asset management of a portfolio of real estate projects directly owned by high net worth individuals, institutions and various types of trusts.

Experience

Prior to joining Northern, Barry spent 7 years at Bank of America most recently as Vice President of Portfolio Management and Commercial Real Estate Underwriting. As a member of Bank of Americas' commercial real estate lending team, he played key roles in completing the financing and continued portfolio management for transactions involving a total of three (3) million square feet of retail properties, two (2) million square feet of office and flex office space and 2,000 units of multifamily with a value of more than $950 million. Prior to Bank of America, Barry was the Regional Finance Officer for AIMCO's Phoenix Office with revenue management, budgetary control and capital improvement responsibilities for over 2,600 multifamily units within the Phoenix metro and Tucson, Arizona area. Barry was also an asset manager for USAA Real Estate in San Antonio, TX where he managed commercial real estate that included office, industrial and flex-office buildings in excess of three (3) million square feet, which was located throughout Texas, California, Connecticut and Florida. He was also employed with GE Capital Real Estate for seven (7) years within their CMBS lending group and finance department. Barry holds the designation of Certified Commercial Investment Manager (CCIM) and earned his Green Belt designation while at GE Capital Real Estate.
