Michelle is a founding partner and co-head of the Philadelphia office. As Senior Vice President and Managing Wealth Advisor, she advises families, corporate executives, and business owners on how to achieve more with their wealth.
Experience
Michelle has over 20 years of experience working with ultra-high net worth investors, private business owners, and corporate executives on sophisticated trust, tax, charitable giving, and financial planning matters. She also worked with numerous private foundations and public charities on matters relating to governance, compliance, and institutional advancement. She is a frequent lecturer on a variety of business, personal, and charitable planning topics. Michelle started her career in private legal practice at Simpson, Thacher & Bartlett in New York City and at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius in Philadelphia. She earned her J.D. from Harvard Law School, where she was an editor of the Harvard Law Review. She received her B.A. in Public Policy Studies and English from Duke University, where she also received a Lord Rothermere scholarship to study at the University of Oxford in England. In addition, Michelle completed a federal judicial clerkship for the Honorable Mary A. McLaughlin in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. Michelle is admitted to the bar in New York and Pennsylvania.
Community Involvement
Michelle serves on the board of Main Line Health, a health system that is one of the largest employers in the Philadelphia region. She is also on the board of the Committee of Seventy, a 116-year old nonpartisan watchdog group that advocates for voter engagement and good government. In 2019, Michelle was appointed by Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf to the statewide Advisory Commission on Asian Pacific American Affairs. Michelle is a prior Board Chair of Philabundance and has served on numerous other nonprofit boards and committees, including the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, the Philadelphia Orchestra, the Independence Public Media Foundation, and Vision 2020. She is a member of the Forum of Executive Women and is a past recipient of the "Women of Distinction" award by the Philadelphia Business Journal.
