  • Jennifer earned a Master of Business Administration in Finance from the Jones Graduate School of Management at Rice University
  • a Master of Music in Flute Performance from the Shepherd School of Music at Rice University
  • and a Bachelor of Music degree in Flute Performance from the University of Michigan.


  • Jennifer holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses.


As Austin Region President, Jennifer Gravenor, CFA is responsible for overseeing the firm's business, client relationships and talent across Central Texas. In her role, Jennifer proactively leads a seasoned team of subject matter experts that meet the sophisticated financial services and planning needs of high net worth and institutional clientele. Her team focuses on providing "high touch" investment management, fiduciary, banking, business advisory and wealth consulting solutions to clients across the region, partnering with their legal and tax advisors to deliver a boutique, multi-family office experience.


Prior to joining Northern Trust in 2014, Jennifer was a senior advisor with J.P. Morgan's Private Bank, where she was responsible for leading a team focused on advising foundations and endowments as well as supervising the management of more than $1.5 billion in assets for successful families across Texas. Jennifer has worked in-house for a large Family Office and also has experience working in family law and trust litigation for an international tax firm.

Community Involvement

Jennifer began volunteering at a young age and values a commitment to community. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Austin Symphony Orchestra and the Long Center for the Performing Arts. Jennifer is also a member of the Executive Committee for the Dell Children's Trust and recently co-chaired the hospital's Art of Giving event. Prior to moving to Austin, Jennifer served on the Boards of the Houston Ballet, Houston Symphony Society, Family Services of Houston, Hermann Park Conservancy and Da Camera of Houston where she held various leadership and fundraising roles. Within Northern Trust, Jennifer is currently serving as the Senior Advisor to our West Region Inclusion Team and also as an Executive Committee member of the firm's Women in Leadership resource council.
