Expertise

Travis Walne is a Vice President and Senior Asset Manager at Northern Trust. He manages myriad aspects related to mineral, royalty, and working interest ownership. Additionally, Travis is spearheading Northern Trust's renewable energy program.

Experience

Prior to joining Northern Trust, Travis gained valuable knowledge of the solar energy industry as a sales representative at Ontility, a solar energy distribution company. Before that he was a Senior Petroleum Landman at Escondido Resources II, LLC, an exploration company based in Houston, TX. He was responsible for facilitating landowner relations, contract preparation/negotiation, as well as managing 10 contract landmen. He also supported senior leadership with respect to acquisitions, divestitures, and investor/partner relations. Before going "in-house," Mr. Walne worked as a field landman in shale plays such as the Eagle Ford, Barnett, Haynesville, and the Permian Basin. During his time in the field Travis researched title, negotiated leases, at times in Spanish, and eventually became the Crew Chief of 8 landmen in Laredo, TX.

Community Involvement

Travis is a member of the American Association of Petroleum Landmen and the Austin Association of Petroleum Landmen. He is also an Eagle Scout.
