Expertise
As the Senior Investment Officer (SIO) for The Northern Trust Company in Dallas, Ryan is responsible for the overall delivery of investment services for the region. In this role he oversees all aspects of the Dallas investment practice including implementation of strategic corporate initiatives, growth of the business, risk management, and development of investment personnel. In addition to his role as SIO, he continues to serve as a Senior Portfolio Advisor on a subset of relationships that are often complex or sensitive in nature. In this role his main responsibilities include providing sophisticated investment strategies and product solutions within a Goals Based Framework to ultra high net worth and sophisticated clientele.
Experience
Prior to relocating back to Dallas in 2013, Ryan worked for Northern Trust in Chicago, advising multi generational families on various wealth planning techniques and asset allocation strategies. Prior to this role, he served as a Portfolio Accounting Analyst at Northern Trust for Large Corporate Defined Benefit & Contribution Plans.
Community Involvement
Within the community, Ryan currently serves The Communities Foundation of Texas - Advisory Council, as well as the Executive Membership Committee for The Investments & Wealth Institute (formerly known as Investment Management Consultants Association - IMCA). Additionally, Ryan has been involved in several charitable endeavors including the Bush Centers Warrior Open, The North Texas Food Bank, The United Way, and SMU's SERVE Initiative. Lastly, Ryan maintains his active membership with the Investments & Wealth Institute.
